It Started With One
Perfect Wing

Wing Snob was born from a single, obsessive pursuit: the perfect chicken wing. Founder Marcus Reid spent years perfecting his craft — experimenting with brines, rubs, cook temperatures, and scratch-made sauces — before he dared to share his creations with the world.

In 2019, Marcus opened the doors of Wing Snob at 7115 W North Ave in Oak Park, IL. The neighborhood quickly took notice. Lines stretched out the door on opening weekend, and word spread fast: these were not ordinary wings.

Today, Wing Snob is more than a restaurant. It's a community hub where wing enthusiasts, families, and friends gather over bold flavors and great company. Every sauce on our menu is still made entirely from scratch, and every wing is prepared with the same care and attention that Marcus put into that very first batch.

    The Backyard Experiments Begin

    Marcus Reid starts obsessively testing wing preparations in his Oak Park backyard kitchen — trying hundreds of sauce combinations and cooking techniques to find his signature formula.

    Pop-Up Success

    Marcus launches his first pop-up at a local Oak Park community event. The response is overwhelming — he sells out within two hours and walks away knowing he's onto something special.

  • 2019

    Wing Snob Opens Its Doors

    Wing Snob officially opens at 7115 W North Ave, Oak Park, IL. The opening weekend draws lines out the door, and a new community favorite is born. Ten original sauce flavors launch on day one.

    Navigating a Challenging Year

    During a difficult year for the restaurant industry, Wing Snob pivots to expanded delivery and contactless pickup, building an even stronger connection with the local community through care packages and family meal deals.

  • 2021

    Sauce Line Expansion

    Wing Snob doubles its sauce menu to 20+ unique flavors, including the crowd-favorite Mango Habanero and the legendary Snob's Inferno — our hottest creation yet. Catering services launch this year.
